Lou Reed in Benidorm

On July the 26th at the Bullring in Benidorm will take place the awaited concert. Lou Reed will recover his “cursed” disc. Benidorm’s Town Hall and Music Community presented the concert in Berlin. In the concert there will be more than 30 people on stage, a children chorus, stringed and wind instruments, two bass players and the original band that recorded the disc in 1973.

This concert is part of Lou Reed’s European Tour, which will take him to Málaga, Madrid and Girona before arriving to Benidorm. The 7000 tickets are already on sale, the price range goes from 45€ to 60€ and you can buy them in tick tack ticket, El Corte Inglés, Bancaja, CAM and as always in “el kiosko de la PlazaTriangular”.

Sierra Bernia

We start our tours series with a nice route. Many people from all over the world gets amaze waking around the beautiful Crest of Sierra Bernia.

The route makes a circle around the mountain. It offers a great variety of landscapes. On the north side we can see Valencia’s gulf, on the east on a clear day Ibiza, On the south we can see the Palos cape and on the west the mountains of the Marina and the Comtat.

The landscape varies on each side of the mountain. If we start we’ll find an arid area. Once we continue towards the north side it will become colder and more humid. We can enjoy the view of Fort Bernia with its fountain. We can also climb up to the summit (1.126 m). We will go through the almond trees right by the blue sea close to Casas de Bernia and cross El Forat, a natural tunnel that goes through the crest from side to side.
The starting point is in Altea la Vella, just 20 minutes away from Agir, even less if you go by the AP 7 highway.

Mediatic Festival

La Nucia, again on the headlines. The Mediatic Festival 16th and 17th of May.

Two hectic days of music, 37 bands, some of them legends of the music, famous, classics and young bands. The program includes Fangoria, Los Suaves, Medina Azahara, Barón Rojo, La habitación Roja, The Waterboys, Loquillo, Celtas Cortos, Raimundo Amador, Los Secretos, and more…

This interesting festival started in Alcoy, then it went to Alicante and finally to La Nucia where it staid since 2006.

There will be 3 stages, meal area, showers, toilets and a camping area.

From Agir is easy, just 15 minutes by car or public transport and you will find yourself there. During the day you can relax by the pool, the sauna or getting a massage in the spa, or if you prefer you can sunbath or swim in the sea at the beach next to the hotel

V Mostra de Teatro Amateur

The fifth edition of Amateur Theatre will take place in La Nucia, at the Auditori de la Mediterrànea, from the 5th of April until the 26th.

Six companies from all over Spain will take part in this interesting event. The final stage of this contest will continue every Saturday and Sunday of April at 8 p.m.

On April the 26th in the closing ceremony people can see the play “La mujer de negro” (The woman in black) with Emilio Gutierrez Caba y Jorge Juan.

Take the opportunity and take a walk in the downtown and enjoy the wonderful views of the mountains. Every Sunday morning you can visit the flee market.

Sierra Helada Natural Park

Just a few minutes away from the Belroy Hotel, you can find the park of Sierra Helada. This is the only park in the Valencian region with a maritime landscape.

Her diversity in the picturesque seaviews and valleys are defenitly a visit worth.

Discover her history, her landscape, her flora&fauna and enjoy the 3 interesting roads to go by feet. Two of these roads begin at the information point in Albir. The third one begins at the end of the Levante Beach in direction of the Cross or the Cavall point. The marvelous seaview is absolutely fascinating.

Sorolla's light returns to Valencia

Almost a century ago, Joaquin Sorolla set off on a journey around Spain to capture its "visions", having been commissioned by American Hispanist Archer Huntington to decorate one of the rooms at the Hispanic Society in New York reflecting everyday Spanish life in the early 20th century. On this 7 year long journey, a mature and happy Sorolla, who could capture the Mediterranean light like nobody else, discovered the changing light of the rest of Spain: the radiant clarity of an autumn day, the luminositydiffused by the approach of winter, the brilliant spring sunshine ant the colour of hot summer days. He captured it all on 14 huge, incandescent canvases of Visión de España (vision of Spain), an exhibition showing at the Centro Cultural Bancaja in Valencia until 31st March.

This was our motto in May 2005, when we started a complete renovation of the hotel facilities. Since then we have been working hard to make sure no one realizes of the work that was being done.

We know how important is the peace and relax we offer in our hotel for our guests. That is why we have made a big effort in keeping the renovation, while our guest were enjoying their stay without being disturb by the works.

Now in 2008 we can say "we are done". Belroy has been renovated and refurbished so you can enjoy our facilities. More services and amenities, better benefits and a new fresh style, which our guests can enjoy.
